Wuhan Institute of Bioengineering is a general undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. It is the first private university in Hubei Province that has obtained the right to confer bachelor's degree and passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching work by the Ministry of Education. In 2018, it took the lead in receiving education among similar universities in Hubei. The review and evaluation of the undergraduate teaching work of the Ministry has been highly praised by the evaluation expert group. The school is located in the Yangluo Economic Development Zone, a modern port industrial new city in Wuhan, across the river from the Optics Valley Biological City. Wuhan Metro Line 21 (Yangluo) directly leads to the main school gate, which has a prominent location advantage.
