Wu Chang Uprising College is one of China's first independent college, in August 2000 the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of menstruation by the army Wuhan Huazhong University of Science and Culture Communication Group to set up. The school was originally named Huazhong University of Science and Technology Junwei College, and was renamed Huazhong University of Science and Technology Wuchang Branch in March of the following year.
The school has two campuses in Wuhan and Jiayu. The campus environment is elegant and pleasant, and all kinds of facilities are top-notch. The Wuhan campus is located in Nanhu Lake, Wuchang, covering an area of more than 1,000 acres and a total construction area of ??520,000 square meters. In 2020, approved by the Provincial Department of Education, the school will invest nearly 1.6 billion to build a new campus in Jiayu. There are more than 16,000 students in the school. There are nearly 1,000 faculty members, including 861 full-time teachers, 464 teachers with senior professional titles and 746 teachers with master's degree or above.
