Changji College is located in the beautiful city of Changji, the center of the economic belt on the northern slope of Tianshan Mountain, Xinjiang, with a history of more than 60 years. Its predecessor was Changji Normal School, which was established in 1959. It was upgraded to Changji Teachers College in 1985. In May 2001, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of the Autonomous Region to be upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college-Changji College.
